Mission Statement

My name is Jade Fusco. I am, Mistress of Ceremonial Arts. I am a singer and actor, a visual artist and writer. My pseudonym is DMZL ("damsel”) in Delight. My practice is my life-style, revolving around community and collaboration, theatrical and celebratory self-expression in the reclamation of freedom, pleasure and joy. The living, kaleidoscopic aesthetic of DMZL, is inspired by archetypal mythology, the European Avant-Garde, indigenous folk-art and ritual theater. Embodying DMZL means melting genres together into surreal and magical circumstances governed by whimsical laws. DMZL art and performance is often interactive and improvisational, with the intention to rewire circuitries for connection, dissolve mental conditioning, and unleash the curious, creative and LOVING impulses of all living beings. .
